Genesis 22:1-8

¹And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

²And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

³And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ****, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

⁴Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.

⁵And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ****; and the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.

⁶And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

⁷And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, my father: and he said, here am I, my son. And he said, behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

⁸And Abraham said, my son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

Genesis 12

The Lord told Abram, get out of your country, kindred, fathers house to a land I will shew you.

I shall make you a great nation, and shall make your name great. Will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you.

Genesis 15

Abram receives a vision, fear not! I am your shield/exceeding great reward.

Abram, asked what will you do for me seeing I have not seed?

Word of the Lord came to him, look towards heaven at the stars. If you can number them, so shall your seed be.

He tells him, I make a covenant with you – your seed will I give this land too.

Genesis 16 - Armament

Abram is now 90yrs. And is told I will make my covenant with you. Your name shall no longer be Abram, but Abraham.

Genesis 22:5,6,7,8

⁵And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ****; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and

We have to deal with the Kingdom.. Thy Kingdom come/Thy will be done.

The will of the Father being manifested, accomplished, fulfilled on earth.

It has always been the will of God for Him, the creator and us His creation to be in sink, aliened with Him.

As His Creation Are We:

1} Is what we give the Father acceptable/perfect?

2} What are we sacrificing/What is our sacrifice?

3} Is it pleasing you more to give it, rather than it pleases Him to receive

it?

4} With the Father, its always been about covenant/agreement that

Would bind us together.

5} Who have you attached your soul with?

Who have you giving the authority to jerk you around?

Who has your soul?

What are you craving/desires?

6} Whatever you send for, is your God

If you stop feeding it, entertaining it.. It will die.

IS YOUR SOUL COMMITTED TO THE FATHER?

Covenant Will Not Work If

Your desire Are Not Aliened With His Word

Your thoughts

Creation

God said, let us make man in our image and after our likeness. He breathed into the nostrils of man, and man became a living soul.

WE MUST TAKE OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE FATHER SERIOUS (COVENANT)

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME (US) TO BE COMMITTED TO THE FATHER AND HE NOT BE WITH US….

YOU NEED TO ASK YOURSELF, IF GOD WOULD RETURN TODAY WOULD THIS BUILDING BE FULL?

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

The book of Matthew was written in Judea around 37 A.D.

Greek Word – Maththaios

Hebrew Word – Mattithyah – Gift of Jehovah

Matthew also known as Levi, son of Alphaeus and the brother of James.

We are told that he was a publican – tax-collecter, and is recorded as one of the twelve apostles.

Theme

Jesus Christ is Jehovah and King of the Jews, and Savior of the world.

John the Baptist

We are told that he was born to godly parents and was of the priestly descent. His Father, Zechariah and his mother Elisabeth were descendants of Aaron.

We are also told while Zechariah was performing his priestly duties burning incense in the temple the angel Gabriel appeared to him – you shall become a father to a son, and you shall call his name John and raise him as a **** rite for he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost from birth. He will prepare the people for the coming of the Lord.

What Do We Know About John?

His church was in the wilderness near the Jordan.

He came to announce a new dispensation proclaiming the kingdom of God and the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

His sole purpose was to prepare the people for the reception of Christ.

John didn't have a personal relationship with Jesus, but only knew of Jesus from the teaching of his parents.

His Message

He urged the necessity of the immediate need for repentance because the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

The word of repentance and the baptism by water for the cleansing of sin

Instructing the people that there is one who shall come after him, whose shoes I'm un-worthy to un-loose and He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and fire.

JOHN WAS SENT AS A MESSENGER TO PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD.

Before We Deal With The Text

Matthew 11:12," And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

We cannot leave out:

Matthew 3:2, "And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 3:3, "For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Repent

Hebrew – Nacham – To sign, breathe strongly, to be sorry

Hebrew – Shuwb – To turn back

Hebrew – Nocham – To regret

Greek – Metanoeo – To change the mind for the better (morally)

A change of attitude towards sin.

Greek – Metamelomia – A real change in mind, to regret, to see the

Consequences for sin.

Dealing With The Kingdom

The Kingdom is the Sovereign Rule of God accomplished, manifested, operating, established on earth.

John/Jesus declares that it's at hand

Jesus taught his disciples, and left for us to pray for its coming….

The Kingdom of Heaven or Kingdom of God is SPIRITUAL, but we have tried to operate with carnal methods

Matthew 6:9,10

After this manner therefore prays ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

PRAY FOR IT TO BE DONE ON EARHT.

SEEK IT AS CHRIST DID

DO IT FROM THE HEART

LIVE IT

I Timothy 4:1-5

¹I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom:

²Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

³For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

⁴And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

⁵But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

I Timothy 4:1-2

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils:

URGENCY – THE KIGNDOM OF HEAVEN IS IN A SPIRITUAL WAR.

WE HAVE TO USE THE SAME VIOLENCE AND FLIP IT ON THE ENEMY…
