I never imagined the monumental role that I would play in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A native of Rochester, NY, I grew up during the tumultuous times of the 1960s. Survived segregation, racism, and physical abuse, I was a Youth member of the Black Pathers Party became a gang member and drug enforcer. And while incarcerated, became a Muslim. It appeared as though I would soon become another statistic succumbing to the devastating effects of street life ending up in the grave. However, God had other plans.
I received my call into ministry in 1990. However, as the owner of a very successful business worth millions, I was reluctant to accept the call. It wasn’t until God stripped me of everything including my prominent business that I was able to fully accept his call to seek and save the lost by preaching the unadulterated Gospel of Jesus Christ. I acknowledged that it wasn’t until I lost everything that I gained everything—a new life in Christ and a divine purpose in the kingdom of God. Since accepting the call in 1998, I haven’t looked back. I have been a licensed minister for almost 10 years. I founded Soldiers of Light Ministries derived from Romans 13:12 that helps youth renounce gang life.
I received a BA.. Born Again degree in 1989, my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from North Carolina A&T State University, and I earned his Master’s, of Divinity from The Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. Currently I am pursuing a Doctorate of Divinity from Masters Seminary in Evansville Indiana I am a proud member of Omega Psi Phi.
